Tia Ajao is a Perinatal Nurse with certification in Maternal & Newborn Nursing. She is an IBCLC , a Birth & Postpartum Doula, a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator & a student of Nurse Midwifery with 20 years of Public Health service in Maternal-Child Health, Prevention & Community Health. Tia enjoys empowering other birthworkers via non-profit Hello Baby Events. She is deeply informed by her own experiences as a wife to a doula-dad, a mother of two, and as a professional at the bedside. Tia serves as Chair of the Black Mother-Baby Team for DONA International. Her career origin began with The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority/March of Dimes Stork's Nest Program in 2001.
