 As a professional in the healthcare research field, I have spent the past decade becoming confident in my own intuitions and experiences which has helped me develop very strong interpersonal skills. This level of intense yet practical communication has taught me to understand and empathize with sometimes challenging circumstancing while maintaining a positive and nurturing demeanor. Having also experienced maternal trauma myself, I am able to maintain the integrity of such precarious issues.

 

As a doula, I want to empower ANY pregnant person to birth however they desire and from a place of intention and self-awareness. Birth work will allow me to use my instinctively natural God-given nurturing and discerning talents as a small contribution in serving and creating better outcomes for the generations ahead.

 

My ultimate goal is to grow a business that specifically serves a diverse population of birthing families and to be a forerunner for birth justice. My DONA training included Child Health Education and Lactation and also Pregnancy, Labor, Birth, and Postpartum Doula care. As a Black American woman, I plan to volunteer and incorporate discounted pricing that will be accessible to marginalized communities and to be a readily available resource for positive maternal health and infant death outcomes.
