Rasha is a certified IDI Birth/ postpartum doula and breastfeeding counselor. She is 41 years young; born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She is the proud owner of Open Arms Services LLC, and the mother of two beautiful yet amazing young ladies. Rasha has always been intrigued with birth and how the human body functions. At a young age she was passionate about women’s health, reproductive system and childbirth. At the age of 20 she was introduced to birthwork; she had the privilege of supporting her sister before, during and after birth. It was a phenomenal experience that would have an everlasting impact on her life. Rasha later received her bachelors degree in Business Administration concentration in Healthcare Administration from Gwynedd Mercy University. Not working in her desired field she grew increasingly frustrated, but didn’t recognize why. One day while at work she was listening to Dr. Myles Munroe. He was speaking on fulfilling your purpose. Dr. Munroe asked a question-
“Why is it that you are frustrated with every job you get?” He mentioned that it’s because you are not doing what you were born to do. He said “go back to the dream job you had when you were a child”. The statement resonated within her. And her journey began to become a full spectrum certified doula!
