As a Christian birth doula with 11 years of experience as a child-care worker, I bring a unique perspective to the birthing process and postpartum period. My journey from caring for children to supporting mothers during childbirth has not only shaped my approach to doula work but has also provided me with invaluable insights into the changes that happen postpartum. My background in child care has given me a deep understanding of the developmental stages of children and the challenges that come with caring for them. As a birth doula, I draw on this experience to provide emotional support and reassurance to mothers during labor and delivery. One of the most valuable aspects of my experience as a child care worker is my insight into the postpartum period. I have witnessed the strength and resilience of women as they bring new life into the world, and I have seen the profound impact that compassionate and knowledgable support can have on their birth experience.
