I am Hadassah, also known as Das the Doula, and I am a reproductive justice advocate who encourages families to make informed decisions at all stages of their journeys. My long standing passion for serving others led me to birth work after almost two decades of experience working in the mental health field. The more I learned about the needs and challenges of today's families, the more I felt drawn to provide support and make meaningful change for our community.

I have been honored to train with and learn from some of the most respected organizations in reproductive justice and perinatal care. I have trained with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings and Ancient Song Doula Services to become a full-spectrum doula, with Lamaze to become a childbirth educator, and with Woman's Choice Perinatal Services to become a placenta encapsulation specialist. And I continue to learn and explore, to bring the best evidence-based information and trusted traditions to the families I support. I provide in-person support in the DMV area and virtual support is also available.

When I am not serving families as their doula, I am either volunteering, dancing in my living room to Afrobeats, or planning a hike to go on. I am originally from The Bronx, NY, but I now reside in Fredericksburg, VA, with my husband and daughter. When things return to normal and travel becomes safe again, I look forward to adding more stamps to my passport.
